I have a critical virus on my pc ? although i have scanned the pc and it has deleted the virus, i still receive the warning message and it is saying clean the system , but how do i do this?

Some viruses can be particularly persistent and the solution may not lie just in the efforts of one software package.

You do not say which virus checking program you are using, however I recommend AVG anti-virus - there is a free version, the website is here (you'll have to hunt around for the free version):

You could also try software such as AD Aware which is designed to remove so called spyware which is usually what these persistent viruses are, you can find that here:
Your anti-virus software may well have an option to create a boot or recovery disk which can then work on your system before windows boots and these programs get installed in memory, you'll need to check in the help for this. You could also try running the scans whilst in safe mode, simply hold down F8 just before Windows starts to boot and you should see an option to boot into safe mode.
